I've been kewl, thx fer asking ^^ I tried distancing myself from teh computer due to exams, grades didn't turn out so good... D: so conclusion: I score better when I got something to distract me! LOL!! XD

He was just here a week or two ago,
probably just busy.

I doubt Jasterk will be submitting an entry, but the other two have until 9PM EST today to submit their submission for the Battle Royale. After that I will post the battles for all to read.

Awesome, now all we can do is sit and wait, I hope toran makes it in time, and it's a pity Jasterk had to go D: but oh well, I'm sure it'll still be fun XD

Well I've skimmed through a couple of these entries, and I gotta say I'm quite impressed!
This is gonna be sweet.

It all seems cool, I hope people would be allowed to post what they think about the battles, and maybe receive some constructive criticism from the judges, so that those who win will be even better the next round, and the rest of us can be even more awesome the next battle =D

You can post a critical review or something similar if you would like, but I don't want to see two line posts replying to each other that makes each story a five page post because of all of the comments left.

Mkay, i get what ya mean ^^ can't wait fer teh judges review, but for now, everyone enjoy! haha XD

EDIT: just realised that the only battle's between Arashi and Bahn Drum, the rest of us are walkovers, so maybe there should be a poll to decide if we make it to the next round? O.o

I dont know if anybody else knows, but what is the prize going to look like?

How long have we got to judge?

Carlen is active once again, so maybe he could say what he thought would be a good time frame to allow judging. I would say, maybe, the end of this weekend? It can be pushed if that is too close for any of us.

And that is sort of weak that there is technically only one battle.. so only one person has the possibility of being knocked out at this point. I am open to suggestions.

Well, we could have the remaining three compared with each other, meaning that only one person makes it to the next round, which will most probably be the finals? >< or like I said earlier, we could have an open anonymous vote on whether the remaining entries should be allowed to the next rounnd? haha XD

I haven't been in this thing for a while now, but what I think I'm seeing is a change.
Is the Royale now a free-for-all, choose one of the writings to win. Or is it still on a tournament bracket system?

If it is one battle, free-for-all, I would suggest having judgements due on the 30th of this month. That gives plenty of time to read carefully each participants entry.
If it is still the bracket, I would say until the 20th.

well, it was supposed to be the bracket system, except that some participants didn't submit their entry on time, so out of the 5 entries, 3 win by default and the other 2 are the only ones battling it out =P that's the situation currently, haha

I have to say that this doesn't make much sense. I mean, to be fair at this point, a free for all fiction contest makes more sense. In the future, we could attempt a Royale II the way one should've been, but for now, I really think the judges should just rate the five participants and give a 1st place.

It's all trial and error to me, once this is over you can improve things a lot more and make it even better.

Well, anything's fine with me, haha, or how bout choosing the top two, then they both will battle it out, if the judges can't decide an outright number 1, just throwing ideas around ><

Already too late I guess, but in one of his posts he mentioned his net is capped, so that's why he won't be around in awhile.
