Anti-virus time Empty Anti-virus time

Post  Delyn Fri Nov 06, 2009 8:27 am

I need a new anti virus program seeing how after my new hard drive fix left me with kaspersky trial, which is bloody annoying (doesnt let my download managers work properly nor let me watch streaming vid's no matter how many times i change the settings to allow them) so i won'y be buying it, thats for sure.

so anyone have any recommendations?

AVG is alright. Try some free trials of many things off of CNET.

Trend Micro is a good anti virus or macfee. Both are good.

Nod32 would be my recommendation! You don't even know it's there. Though I'm using AVG right now and it hasn't done me any trouble, either Smile

Nod32 if you want to pay for it
The best free one is Avast

I am currently trying Trend Micro and I like it alright so far. I am not happy with the firewall so far, but you can turn that off ofcourse.

I have used free AVG a lot and it seems to be pretty decent, especially for being a free version. Microsoft also just came out with a free anti-virus.

I have heard Spybot is malware or is associated with it in some way.

My wife used Avast for a while and liked it.

AVG is a simple, easy and free program and I've had no trouble or worries with it so far.
I'd also give Avast a go too (it's also free,) I am trying it out right now on another computer and I really like it.

I hope your not running AVG and Avast at the same time. You might get away with it, but just in case you don't know you never want to have more than one anti-virus program on your computer at once. Ignore me if you already know this.
