What is keeping me going at the moment:

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on Xbox 360 + New DLC

Just started Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords on PC

Researching Personal and Guild back stories on Wookieepedia (I now have both complete and up for comments now btw)

Soon will be focusing a lot more on guild recruitment drive.

Don't have a 360 or I would be all over that game
KotOR and KotOR2 are old for me, TSLRP will be great but its not ready yet
Although I am replaying both games from a unified force perspective (never done that before always one side or the other) the character is quite powerful it KotOR and I think unbeatable in KotOR2.

Research is fun but I have too many questions to answer before I can start writing that

Dont stab me but..

I actually had fun with the star was educational games.

Suuure they were for kids.. but building my droid and doing various missions was fun!

First time in a while my brain was active during a game.

Now.. what was that game called.. I miss it.

not sure if I'm too late to this post for you Quin, but I must suggest reading books. The Legacy of the Force series should be a must I think for guildies. I just finished the Republic Commando series and it was awesome. It's amazing how big the story is. And I think we can add so much to the story if we truly understand it all. By reading the books I am learning so much about the Star Wars universe. The books teach you so much about the different species and their cultures. It's great stuff. And really we are writing some of the story with this game. You never know when an author could see what we have done and want to write a book about it. Also if we can discuss issues about the game as a guild we could come up with some sound ideas and/or arguments for the devs. I don't mean arguments in a negative way but if we see something that might be potentially bad for the game and we all discuss and come up with a sensible solution they might actually consider it. Just some thoughts. Sorry for rambling,

I have wanted to get into the books, never read any of them.
Once I picked one up and read a few pages, when I hit the part about a pink Star Destroyer I put it down in disgust and never looked at the books again.

Where would I start in the books.

Something in the Old Republic era would be good moving into Expanded Universe after that.

well as far as I know the oldest book to date is a book about Darth Bane. It's the first star wars book I read. Besides the part about the "thought bomb" I enjoyed the book for the most part. Dark Rendezvous was pretty good. Hands down the best books I've read are the Legacy of the Force series and the Republic Commando series. Republic Commando series is probably a good one to start with. You can jump right in and enjoy it and its only 4 books long. The Legacy of the force series is like 9 books.

Does Republic Commando follow the game more or less?

I'm guessing you are asking about TOR? Republic Commando starts during the beginning of the clone wars and ends at order 66. They are just plain awesome. The Darth Bane book takes place 1020 years before SW's a new hope. So there are no books in the Old Republic time period. Only the KOTOR games go back that far. Its a good star wars fix though my friend.

Take your time with it, do it on one of the higher difficulties or you might get thru it too fast.

Awesome game, I love it.

By 'acquired' do you mean you own one now or you are borrowing one?

Not sure if I am going to hook it up to the net.
Although I got a wireless network so it should be easy enough to do.

If you do hook it up via ethernet cable, just make sure you set your computer to 100mb full duplex so you get the most out of it.

I noticed you were talkin bout star wars books you haven't read. You should definately check out the "New Jedi Order" series will keep you interested from beginning to end...real talk....the Vong make the Sith look like care bears. You should also check out the "Young Jedi Knights" series. It's basically about the kids of Han and Leia Solo and their adventures being trained as Jedi by their uncle Luke.

If any one hasn't they should read the Tales of the Jedi comic series. Its the foundation of anything before the battle of Yavin, which includes anything TOR.
