Re: The music-thread
Open up and say Ah is the only Poison album worthwhile, Flesh and blood is shit.
Classical, well I kinda like The Four Seasons by Vivalidi and Carmina Burana by Orff

I just saw a Fiction Family concert and it was killer!
Fiction Family is a side project of Jon Foreman, lead singer of Switchfoot.

Sorry, but I HAVE to disagree. Nickleback will never be compared to Nirvana, or any other half decent band out there. I seriously hate "Theory of a Nicklecreed". Most of their songs sound the same, and it's these types of bands that forced me to stop listening to all radio stations except for those on XM Radio.
I want to punch that Chad Kroeger guy in the face.
That is my opinion, and I hope I did not offend anyone by making fun of Creed, Theory of a Deadman or Nickleback. I just can't stand them.
Atleast Creed was sort of inspiring to some people.. puts them above the other two.

Re: The music-thread
Nickelback is decent. There is a lot I'd rather listen to than them, but they're an improvement over the Lady Gaga and Katy Perry stuff a lot of radio stations play.
I really like Creed, though I don't really know why. They're different from what I usually listen to, but I like how they sound. By the way, they're actually back together and are going on tour soon, if it hasn't started yet.

You didn't offend me at all, I agree with you completely.

Re: The music-thread
Thanks mate.
Queens of the Stoneage are semi-old school for some i guess. Us old bastards anyway.
As is this one...one of the best vids for the genre (if its not your music at least watch the vid and turn up the vol). Anyone interested in graphic design or architecture will like:

Re: The music-thread
haha! This is an old thread! I remember reading this when I was still lurking and hadn't even joined yet.
I havn't really anything useful to add, beyond that I think music is a HUGELY personal and subjective topic/thing. You can't really say someone else's taste in music is good or bad, if you think its bad, its just that you don't have the neurology and personality to appreciate it.
So the only thing you can say when it comes to music is what YOU like and what music that just clicks with you.
and since this is a music thread I better leave something.
=P

Music is music, whatever makes someone relaxed and enjoy it is music.
Although it's a bit disturbing how some music artists with a lot less talent then others can just scream whatever they want into a microphone, use the same bland ideas for songs, and compare someone to nature like 5x and get a lot of money for it.

Re: The music-thread
Been reading through the thread,
That one was by Jonathon Coulton (Hope I spelt it right), you probably haven't heard of him.
Anybody listened to much of Mike Patton's stuff? He was probably most noticeable when he was in Faith No More. He's done a lot of experimental stuff alot of it sounds terrible but it's kinda interesting. Lots of voice manipulations in solo stuff.
Very interesting stuff in collaborations. It seems very different to many other artists.
Also, for the portal fans, he was the voice of the weird, demented, angry, killing GLaDOS personality
Satarel Vao wrote:Carlen Darko wrote:"Still Alive" the ending song for Portal. It's freaking hilarious.
I've never played before, but is it by Pearl Jam? If so, badass.

its probably youtube, I absolutely hate listening to music on Youtube, it often completely ruins the experience. =(

There is really no explanation or description for that. There is no real need and it simply defies simple words.

Re: The music-thread
Nostalgia time Folks! (and for digging up dead threads)
many of you youngsters or nuskool gamers might not remember or know this.
but know that it existed in a age where games and game music were superior to today's games in every way and form except graphics. =P aha
Last but not least, its not Command and Conquer, but it is by westwood before they mutated into evul EAgheys.
