OUF IRC

Server = Darkmyst Random Server
Channel = #OUF

On the left side is where you click to find the server that we are using

Fill in the right hand details as mine with your OUF details

Make sure the server is stated as DarkMyst as above

Once you have logged on type the following

-NickServ- Syntax: REGISTER <password> <email address>
So it would look like

/nickserv register 123pass123 me@you.com

This will bind the name to you and others will not be able to use it.

So if your an applicant or want to know more about OUF sign up and join in (bear in mind we have just started this up so for a while it will be rather empty.)

thats odd, I was just wondering today if I should put in a suggestion for an OUF IRC and I log on. What do I see?

odd, I'm having trouble connecting to DarkMyst, it doesn't seem to think it exists, what exactly is the IRC Server:/Ports:/Group: ?

edit: nvm, apparently I'm an idiot and probably blind too, figure it out.

lol its okay I was having trouble at first too, I just needed to look at everything besides the OK button.

Not to be digging up old threads, but I can't stress how... (well... I'm not going to say important, but you get what I mean) it is to jump on the OUF IRC channel, there are always a few of us online and sometimes we even have enough to start a party.

Come and join us and have actual conversations with us, instead of playing verbal pingpong all day.

Its also much easier to get people caught up to what's happening, what we are playing at that moment and what server we are on etc etc.

Global- [Logon News - Jul 28 2009] CAN'T CONNECT? DarkMyst's DNS provider had technical issues this morning. If a friend reports that they cannot connect, please have them connect to 216.25.44.2 or 75.102.26.70 instead of irc.darkmyst.org. Our DNS provider has fixed the issue but there may be a delay for some users. Thank you!

Good to see Mictian on the IRC channel, fun to have him around.

Also why are there so many ping timeouts and disconnections? Does this happen after a long time?

Right now I'm actually the only one in the Channel, Chanserv suddenly killed himself, then Quin and Kev suddenly disconnected. How often does this happen?

I never get them myself, it obviously just happens with the internet for whatever reason for some people.

Well... just to say that the IRC isn't really receiving much attention, and what's with the countdown from 30days everytime i start the thing >_> scary... lol

Here's a suggestion, which I should post in the suggestion thread but will do here anyways... why not get a shoutbox for out forums? It can replace the IRC, is much more convenient, and, well, more fun XD

So... shoutbox to replace IRC... any comments? O_O haha

Many months of searching produced no decent and free shoutbox code. We had a chatbox on the forums temporarily which proved useless and since then have had the IRC which from time to time hosts some awesome discussions.

At this point in time it is our best option.
