I live right next to a ballpark so I get to see fireworks from my backyard.

There is truth in your humor! That movie was released on July 4th, 1996, if memory serves. Can't believe it has been that long ... very fun movie. I think it was the father of all modern disaster movies ... after Independence Day, everyone wanted to blow up famous buildings. Armageddon, Deep Impact, The Core, The Day After Tomorrow, etc..

Yeah, I woke up, went downstairs and turned on the TV to see the news. And whatever channel it was on last night, I day was on, and it was just at the part where the jet's were taking out the giant ship. That was my wake up lol.

It must be a bit annoying with all the firework going off on the 4th of july

That movie is the reason that Michael Bay thought he was a good director and decided that any good movie lacks a good script and makes up for it with sh*t blowing up. Joy.

Yeah, I agree. I fell asleep halfway through Transformers 2 and have yet to see the ending. Maybe if he began making NC-17 movies I could stay awake.

Everyone is awake and outside in my city when the fireworks are going off.
We have a huge military population and us in Alaska are very patriotic.

Personally I don't like the 4th of July, it always scares my little puppy.
