Favorite non star wars movie?

Mine would have to be pulp fiction(tarantino rules)

oh i just watched that movie a few days ago with the clerics and the prozium yeah thats a great movie

I couldn't enjoy all of it though because my girlfriend screamed everytime she thought the puppy was gonna die

I liked Equilibrium because of the subtext and philosophical message of the film. It had a genuinely interesting story, and every action in the film served a purpose to further it. It did not waste screen time, and, as Plinkett would say, "Was not boring."

The top non-Star Wars film for me has to be LOTR. I view this as one big 10-hour film, as the original source material was also intended to be one volume. I also view the extended editions as the primary iteration, and the theatrical versions as "abridged."

Aside from that, well, there are a lot of great films out there. The problem is that when you've seen as many movies as I have, and own as many as I do, it becomes extremely difficult to pick overall favorites, unless there's a clear front runner, vis-a-viz Lord of the Rings.

Now, if we were to break it down into film genres, then I could probably give a few comments. As Johnny 5 would say, "Need more input."

Mine would have to be Gladiator or Braveheart....Those movies still amaze me.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. No contest! Unless you consider Kentucky Fried Movie a "movie," and if you've never heard of or seen Kentucky Fried Movie, then you're not allowed to call yourself a movie-buff!

I watch it all the time.

I love how they address racism by making all the racist people out to be complete idiots and the black people just want to be accepted deep down.

The book is a great story ... the movie ... not so much. They changed it way too much and gave a nice, happy ending for everyone who is unable to read a classic book with big words and proper grammar. That's my opinion, anyway!

I thought both the movie and the book were good (tip: Movies are always better when you watch the movie, then read the book...that way you are not as disappointed.)

You want to see the ultimate movie of revenge? Watch the Korean movie, "Old Boy." I can say as an absolute truth that there has never been, and will never be, a greater story on revenge.

The whole Revenge Trilogy was great. Although, the middle one, Old Boy, was definitely the best. It was so....wow....it was intense.

Really enjoyed Old Boy.

the hammer fight seen is probably one of the most epic fight scenes I've seen in a movie

I've watched a lot of good movies... Off the top of my head the last movie I really liked Forrest Gump...
