The Battle Royale Rules
The Basics
The Battle Royale is a tournament style member submission competition. Once paired with their opponent, each participant is responsible for creating a fan-made fiction, art, or video of their character defeating their opponent. These submissions are then sent via Private Message to the Royale Coordinator where they will be judged by a board of four judges. The winner moves on hopefully to become one of the esteemed OUF Champions!
Submission Types
Fanfiction Entry - This entry type is simple. The participant submits a piece of fiction, no shorter than five paragraphs, in which their character defeats their opponent. This can be via a dual, a race, a competition, anything the participant can imagine so long as the story has a clear victory condition.
Art Entry - As with the Fanfiction Entry, the Art Entry is a submitted piece of art, typically in the form of a comic strip, that has the participant defeating their opponent in a dual, race, etc. Again, as long as a victory condition is clear, it counts.
Video Entry - As with the other Entry types, the Video Entry is a submitted piece of video, animated or live-action, that has the participant defeating their opponent in a dual, race, etc. In order to hammer it in, as long as a victory condition is clear, it counts.
Concerning Extensions
Sometimes, an extension will be placed on the competition. This will happen to
assist all in entering their pieces. Anyone who has already submitted will be allowed to revise and resubmit on the extension date. If you do not revise by the new date, your original entry will be used. If a competitor has not submitted by the one-per-round extension date, they are forfeited and their opponent moves on.
The Prize
The participant who wins the Royale will be entered into the honorable Champions of the Order. With this title comes a custom-created avatar and signature that will be displayed for all to see on your forum profile. These prizes will be made by the best to fit your specific parameters, insuring that you enjoy your prizes to the fullest.
