Chapter 1

Jeme Knuxx stood at the edge of an
immense ocean, admiring the unending beauty of Glee Anselm as he had
remembered it all those years ago. Taking one deep breath, Jeme threw
himself into the warm, salty embrace of the planet he once called
home, welcoming him back to reality, assuring that all he had
experienced the past years was but a dream. Jeme began shrugging
off all that tied him to the land, his clothes, gear, and even his
prized lightsaber, fell to the bottom of the ocean floor; he has no
need for them. His arms and legs began moving side-to-side,
back-and-forth; his gills, which he had not used since his exile,
surged to life allowing Jeme to taste the sweet scent of the ocean.
Moving himself like that of the predatory Lambro Shark, Jeme darted
across the watery paradise, undisturbed for what seemed like a age.
Suddenly! Only by swimming farther ahead did Jeme notice a
disturbance, an island tearing a blistering welt into what was his
paradise....a nightmare he knew all too well. Screams and the sounds
of battle forced themselves into his barring ears, tearing him away
from his paradise, into a living hell.

Chapter One

Jeme instantly awoke, his senses screaming for him to move. He quickly rolled off his bedspread, his lightsaber activated at his side. From the boundaries of his vision he noticed an almost invisible figure rushing toward him, light saber drawn. He could only barely block in time as the unknown assassin's vibrosword clashed with Jeme's lightsaber. The fine cortosis blade gleaming from the red hue of his lightsaber. The assassin used the clash to his advantage, using his superior strength to slowly move the lightsaber closer to Jeme's person.

Jeme, realizing the ever worsening situation, put all of his strength in his sword hand, using the other to unleash a powerful force push. The assassin was forced away from Jeme, quickly recovering as Jeme covered the space between them, unleashing his anger as he slammed against the assassin's defenses with a flurry of aggressive hits. The assassin expertly parried each with ease, pulling out a second vibrosword to inflict small hits along Jeme's vulnerable upper torso. Jeme took almost no notice as he continued harnessing his hatred, as his previous instructor had taught him to, using the force to increase the power of his blows."I grow tired of this, fool...It is about time I ended this"

The assassin quickly kicked Jeme's legs from under him, knocking Jeme on the floor. As soon as Jeme fell to the ground, the masked assassin was immediately upon him, pulling the lightsaber off of the ground, and into his hand; pointing the edge about an inch away from Jeme's throat. Surprisingly, the assassin turned off the lightsaber, tossing it back to Jeme as the large doors opened into his chambers. The light from the main hallway nearly blinded him as his master, along with his usual escort, entered Jeme's chambers. "Chalin, you have served your master as planned, report back to the academy...you will be handsomely rewarded as per our agreement."

"Lord Garmal, it was a pleasure to serve a lord such as yourself". The mysterious assassin, now known as Chalin quickly gave a bow of respect, exiting the chambers as mysteriously as he entered; leaving almost no altercation that he was even there. Jeme staggeringly stood up, almost collapsing as he realized how exhausted he was. He could sense his masters dark sense of disappointment as Lord Garmal approached Jeme.

Awesome! A new addition to OUF Lore! =D

Can't wait for more Jeme, though I suggest picking a lighter color for the font, purple is really hard to read against the black background.

Good work on being descriptive. It's important that a writer put you into the scene as you read without boring you with unessary details. I feel you do that. Good job, let us have more.
