I hope our Dutch team gets the chance to play Portugal again... I still get a smile on my face thinking of a crying Ronaldo.

Anyway friday we have to beat Brazil so win or lose I think thats gonna be a great match to watch.

my picks for quarters;

Uruguay

Netherlands (I hope)

Germany

Spain.

I am truly saddened by Portugals elimination by Spain..... ok not really. Spain are our iberian penninsula cousins so I am also happy they made it through. So, that being said my prediction for the next round of the world cup will go something like this.

Uruguay because i dont remember the name of the other team so i am picking them anyway.

Germany because the sooner I dont have to see Mr. Hand of God goal Maradonna the better.

Brazil because as much as I like Netherlands, I just dont see them beating Brazil.

finally I am picking Spain for the same reason im not unhappy they won.

I'm a bit nervous for the Finals if indeed it will be Holland vs Germany.

Last time that happened was 1978 and we lost that one, if we have to lose then I rather lose against Spain. I dont know just something about Germany. (dont read against)

I am quite happy that it ended up with a Dutch vs Spain final because finally someone who has never won the world cup before will finally take it. In my opinion I believe that The netherlands will take it in the end, but I will be cheering for Spain to take it at the end of the day. Either way I will be happy with either team winning the game. The netherlands are more exciting in terms of game play, but the Spaniards are my fellow Iberians(sort of, im Canadian family is Iberian lol)
